Acupuncture Sunbury

Welcome to Acupuncture Sunbury where conditions treated are wide and varied. In addition, traditional Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine are a system which has been used in the Far East for over 2,500 years. Also, it restores, promotes and maintains good health. The aim of this holistic approach works by re-establishing the underlying energy balance, by stimulating the body’s own healing mechanism. This helps the body to help itself. Overall health improves, not just the symptoms.Acupuncture Sunbury

Sports Acupuncture is also becoming more commonly used.  Sports teams in the area have used Kevin for many years. He uses a fusion of western diagnostic skills and Traditional Acupuncture as the main treatment modality. He originally trained as a sports masseur and then a physiotherapist and treated sports injuries the conventional way.

However, he soon noticed that some injuries didn’t respond to this conventional way. He started to research different methods of treatment to help his athletes. Kevin then progressed and trained in Traditional Chinese medicine, Acupuncture, Tui Na and Chinese Patent herbal formulae.

Acupuncture Sunbury and Chinese Herbs

Acupuncture Sunbury uses Chinese Herbal Patent Formulae & Chinese Tea Therapy is provided in the form of traditional Chinese herbs. All such ‘patent’ herbal powders used are natural. Purchased only from manufacturers approved by the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine, they are prescribed in powder form as a tonic or to assist Acupuncture treatment. Tea formulas have been treating various conditions for thousands of years.

Following an in-depth Western and Chinese Medicine medical history questioning, prescriptions for herbal tea are provided.  Prescriptions of herbal powders and teas often include lifestyle changes.

Testimonial for Asthma

Having suffered from Asthma in later life, in the winter months I tend to be susceptible to chest infections and colds. Hospitalisation for days/weeks with infections and trouble with breathing was not good.

Friends recommended Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and Egham Acupuncture Centre.  Previous success with various problems including constant colds was my prompt to speak to Traditional Acupuncturist Kevin Young.

Following 6 treatments in the autumn months, I returned for a monthly appointment for acupuncture throughout the winter. Kevin advised on what foods I can try to avoid and eat to enhance my treatment and condition. I have to say, thankfully I have had the best winter I can recall for many years.  No infections at all and just some mild colds.   The treatment didn’t cure my Asthma, but it has certainly improved.

On going to my GP for checks ups they even commented that I have a particularly good winter. They wanted to know what I had done differently.  However, similar reports had been received from other patients who had acupuncture for various chest conditions

Many thanks to Kevin and Egham Acupuncture Centre, you’re a God send!
